Dan, to quote Geoff Norcott (sp?)

No, I'm not gutted that I voted for a conservative government, I'm just gutted I didn't get one.

well apparently there has been a hell of a lot of unlawful this and unlawful that for the last few years, so at some point we should see somebody up in front of the beak very soon and a whole pack of cards after that.

or perhaps nothing?

I'd say none of the major parties comma but I'd consider the tories as the lesser of the 3 evils. Its hardly a ringing endorsement of the tories by the way.

Spot on.
It was a lack of courage to confront the evidence at face value and do something about it. Much less hassle to leave things be rather than overcome the intertia.

The labour party has let the British working man down for the past 40 years....it's now the party of middle class liberals and immigrants.

As for Jezza, his intentions are meaningless. None of it matters.

His party have spearheaded "cancel culture" over the last 10-15 years.

Now its finally come for him.

He could have said something about his least favourite type of tulips and someone could probably have linked it to racism.

I agree with that, whilst obviously no fan of JC it appears to me that any criticism of Israel is commuted instantly to antisemitism
Likewise, any pop at Muslims immediately translates to being a paid up marching member of the Waffen SS

As it happens, I have no issue with the old 4x2's but this sniffling and frankly rank suppression of debate leads to one path only and that is genuine extremism

FO

I didn't put the blame for Rotherham entirely on the Labour Party. I put the blame for Rotherham on the culture of blind-eye turning. I also put the blame for what happened in Labour on blind-eye turning.

Surf

"Once you have a encouraged a culture of blind-eye turning, you have Rotherham and the Labour Party."

I shouldn't bite but it's also an over-simplification to lay the blame for Rotherham and suchlike solely at the feet of the Labour Party. To do so ignores wider cultural and social issues both within and outside the immigrant community concerned.

Good points, well-made and probably mostly true. However, I can't accept that this whole thing didn't start pre-Corbyn.

You can't have an unstated but well-known policy of encouraging Muslim immigration in order to gain their votes and stay in power forever without tacitly encouraging members of the party to curry favour with that demographic. Once you have a encouraged a culture of blind-eye turning, you have Rotherham and the Labour Party.

THANKS BLAIR!
